A Quick Getaway with Business-Minded People

Who wouldn’t love a quick getaway, especially when it’s perfect for business-minded people?

Here is a story of a fun-filled five-day experience I had with four other women from our church—with no cell service or internet.

About the Experience

The process of getting to know one another was really enjoyable for each and every one of us. Our days were filled with activities such as hiking, talking, playing games, and attending the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City. We also went to a museum and an art show yesterday, and we spent the evening playing in the park while a local band played. All of us who have been constantly worrying about work-related matters found these activities to be quite calming and fun.

How to Connect with Business-Minded People

We at In the Black Consulting believe that it’s important to surround yourself with like-minded people—whether they are professionals or entrepreneurs. I myself have found peers with most of my clients that I’ve met in this business.

Maybe you’re going to ask, “How can I go about finding these business-minded individuals?” So I’m giving away a few tips for you to make these new connections effectively.

  1. Look for people who are passionate about what they do. These are the people who are always coming up with new ideas and who are constantly trying to improve their businesses. They’re the ones who are always looking for new opportunities and who are willing to take risks. If you’re around people like this, you’re sure to be inspired and motivated.
  • Look for people who are good at networking. These are the people who know how to build relationships and who are always meeting new people. They’re the ones who are always connecting people with each other and who are always looking for new business opportunities. If you’re around people like this, you’ll never run out of contacts or ideas.
  • Look for people who are successful. These are the people who have already achieved a lot in their businesses. They’re the ones who have a proven track record of success and who have a lot of experience to share. If you’re around people like this, you can learn a lot from them and model your own business after theirs.

So there you have it—three things to remember when looking for people to connect with. Keep these things in mind, and you’re sure to find the right connections for you.

Take Time to Have Fun!

Business-minded individuals may seem to be all work and no play, but that doesn’t have to be the case. When you take some time to have fun with people who share your goals and values, like how I did during my client’s recent event, it can actually help you get a lot of inspiration and boost your productivity and creativity.

If you haven’t yet had a chance to unwind or go on a trip with your colleagues or like-minded friends this year, now is a perfect time. Leave the office for a while and have some fun!
